Rabdan Academy Receives Delegation of UAE Joint Command & Staff College
Rabdan Academy has received at its premises in Abu Dhabi a delegation of Joint Command & Staff College headed by Staff Colonel Musabbeh Al Kaabi, member of Guidance Commission. The delegation was received by Mr. Fahed Salem Ahmed Al Kayyoomi, Senior Director, Capabilities Development and Innovation Sector at Rabdan Academy. The delegation sought to have some knowledge about Rabdan Academy, its strategic plan, and its major role in enhancing and maintaining the preparedness of the institutions by providing them with highly qualified national cadres in the fields of safety, security, emergency preparedness, and crises management. The visit came within the framework of cooperation in the areas of research, development, innovation, provision of technical and consultation services, and exchange of relevant expertise and information.
The visiting delegation was also introduced to Rabdan Academy’s unique academic and vocational programs, which are considered the first of their kind in the region. These programs were tailored to serve the educational and training needs of strategic partners, and shed light on the challenges as well as the leadership and analytic aspects of the aforementioned fields on the domestic, regional, and international levels.
Khalid Yunis Al Khuri, an undergraduate student of the Homeland Security Program, talked to the delegation about his experience and academic life, and the delegation became familiar with what the academy offers in terms of modern facilities and a large scope of support activities and services, something that leads to success and academic achievements.
On a different note, the audience gained knowledge about the Armed Forces’ project of Military Qualification Framework, which considered to be the first initiative of its kind in the world that offers comprehensive programs designed for all sectors of the Armed Forces. Rabdan Academy will assume responsibility for establishing this competent authority and have it accredited nationally and internationally. This project aims to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces through organizing technical, vocational training and educational system for all training bodies within the Armed Forces. It also aims to ensure the quality education and training outcomes and enhance the value of training for all relevant bodies.
