Admissions Criteria

Admissions Criteria

Students seeking admission to any graduate degree program must satisfy the Academy general admission requirements, meet minimum English language requirements and satisfy all other program-specific requirements that are stipulated for entry into the program.

Applicants Are Expected To Have

    1. A recognized bachelor degree in a discipline appropriate for the prospective graduate degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent.
    2. A minimum score of 1400 on the English language portion of the EmSAT examination or its equivalent a score of 6.0 on the internationally-recognized test IELTS academic.
    3. Language Proficiency Exceptions for Master programs Admission:

    Applicants who have completed their bachelor's degree in a Ministry of Education (MoE) Recognized English-Speaking Country as listed below are exempted from providing the required English proficiency test.

    UAE MOE Recognized English-Speaking Countries:

    • Australia
    • Canada
    • Ireland
    • New Zealand
    • United Kingdom
    • United States of America

Conditional English:

Applicants with an EmSAT score of 1250 or its equivalent a score of 5.5 IELTS academic.

  • Must achieve an EmSAT score of 1400 or its equivalent a score of 6.0 IELTS academic, by the end of the student’s first semester of study
  • May take a maximum of six credit hours in the first semester of study, not including intensive English courses
  • Must achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent, in the first six credit hours of credit-bearing courses studied for the graduate program


Conditional GPA:

Applicants with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent.

  • Must take a maximum of nine credit hours of courses studied for the graduate program.
  • Achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its established equivalent, in these nine credits of courses studied for the graduate program
    • Copy of Emirates ID.
    • Copy of the passport including unified number and Ethbara Number.
    • Birth certificate (Optional).
    • Certified copy of the degree and official transcript from the university attended.
    • Equivalency certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education (for none CAA accredited universities).
    • Personal Passport size picture with white background.
    • A copy of the family book (Khulasa AlQaid) (for UAE Nationals).
    • English language proficiency certificate (EmSAT English, IELTS or TOEFL).
