Abu Dhabi contains many local and international restaurants, giving you a wide choice to try different cuisines around the world.
You can get around in Abu Dhabi by your own vehicle, taxi or public buses. All public buses in Abu Dhabi are modern, air-conditioned and run on a fixed schedule.
All overseas students, except GCC citizens, would require a residence visa in order to stay legally in the UAE and study at Rabdan Academy. Students are issued their visas upon being accepted to the Academy and after settling the fees due.
Documents required for an entry visa:
• Passport copy with a minimum of 6 months’ validity
• Colored passport-size photo
• Personal Info form
The Student Affairs Division at the academy will process visas once a student has been accepted on a degree program. Upon arrival in the UAE, the residence issuance process will start with a medical examination and additional paperwork.
All international students, including GCC citizens, should apply for an Emirates ID Card the soonest upon arrival to Abu Dhabi.
Upon graduation from the degree program, your visa will be cancelled before you depart the UAE.
We put the Health and Safety of our students as a top priority. We are always keen to provide world-class health services to protect and enhance our students’ health by following the best quality standards and maintaining follow-up and communication in order to achieve our endeavors towards a healthy learning environment mentally and physically.
Any specific student health care needs and requirements are identified and recorded at the point of admission, and that appropriate arrangements are put in place to adequately care for the health and well-being of students.
We have an easily accessible treatment room located in the ground floor, which is specifically designed to accommodate those who may require rest and monitoring. This room consist of basic clinical equipment and tools which are usable to assess and provide immediate treatment to everyone.
When you are accepted as international student in Rabdan Academy, our team will contact you to offer you a medical insurance. They will let you know the required documents and provide you with the details. You will receive your medical insurance card alongside the medical insurance policy including all available health care providers. The insurance will cover most of the students’ medical expenses in wide network of hospitals and clinics in the UAE and home country, whether in outpatient, inpatient or emergency situations, including accidents and travel.
During events within the academy, students are covered for accidents on campus. However, it is mandatory that students have sufficient local medical insurance to cover any unforeseen events off campus.
International applicants may receive a conditional admission subject to submitting the equivalency for their degree (High School or Bachelor), based on which, you were offered the admission into Rabdan Academy. Students may opt to open a local bank account once they have received their residence visa. Varity of options are available to students from a number of banks.
Etisalat, du and virgin mobile are the primary telephone operators in the UAE. They offer a range of pre-paid and post-paid phone and data bundles. Students are recommended to subscribe to a mobile account and may receive a visitor line at the airport. They will be required to register their number with the registrar division.
