Dr. Jack Andrew Harding

Assistant Professor

Dr Jack Harding is employed as Assistant Professor for the Masters in Intelligence Analysis at Rabdan Academy. He is an Associate Fellow for Military Sciences at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and a Strategic Advisor for the Centre for Economic Security. Prior to joining Rabdan Academy, he worked as Team Leader at UK Strategic Command where, among other duties, he acted as the Command’s Liaison Officer for the Integrated Review and Defence Command Paper.

Before he joined the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Harding spent a decade working in data intelligence, including as the Head of Political Risk for an award-winning tech firm. In this role he developed an innovative model that leveraged Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to track the proliferation of dual-use goods and predict the onset of crises.

He holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Glasgow where he used a unique mixed methods approach to examine Britain and France's respective strategic approaches to counter-terrorism operations post-2001. He also holds an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London, where his thesis on German strategic intelligence was awarded the Barrie Paskins award for best MA dissertation. His BA is in War Studies & German, also from KCL.
