Rector of Republic of Indonesia Defense University Visits Rabdan Academy

- Included a special meeting with Republic of Indonesia Defense University’s cadets, who are studying at the Academy as part of the joint cooperation aspects between the two sides

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 27 February 2023 – Vice Admiral Prof. Dr. Amarulla Octavian, Rector of Republic of Indonesia Defense University (RIDU), and global expert in the fields of maritime security, defence and military affairs, visited Rabdan Academy in Abu Dhabi, where he met H.E. James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, and members of the senior management.
Vice Admiral Octavian was briefed on Rabdan Academy’s vision 2025, and its high-level academic and professional programs in safety, security, defence, emergency preparedness and crisis management fields. the visit also included a tour at Rabdan Academy’s campus, during which Vice Admiral Octavian listened to a detailed explanation on the world-class facilities of the Academy.
During the visit, Vice Admiral Octavian, as a global expert specialising in the fields of maritime security, defence and military affairs, participated as a keynote speaker in a symposium entitled ‘South China Sea…Challenges and Future’, which was held by Rabdan Academy for a number of experts and researchers from relevant national entities.
The visit also included a special meeting with the first batch of RIDU’s cadets, who are studying at Rabdan Academy’s various programs across scientific, academic, research and professional fields, under the student exchange program, which is one of the aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides.
The visit involved a tour at the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX 2023) and the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2023).
