Rabdan Academy Concludes the 2019 Summer Program, held in coordination with AD Police and Civil Defense Academy

25 July 2019 – Rabdan Academy has concluded its 2019 “Invest Your Time With Us” Summer Program, which was held in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and the Academy of Civil Defense. The program, which ran from 7 July 2019 to 25 July 2019, was designed specifically for students ranging in age from 15 to 17 years. The program’s final ceremony was held in the Academy’s Commemoration Hall.

The program sought to boost social responsibility and keenness to capitalize on time to enhance school students’ competencies and skills in the areas of safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness, and crisis management during summer holiday. That can be achieved through holding awareness programs, courses, field visits, and activities; broadening students’ knowledge, improving their behaviors, and introducing them to pathways suitable for their age and personal development.

The students showed enthusiasm during their participation as the offered programs helped them realize the significance of cyber security and its impact on us. Moreover, they became familiar with the process of how to detect and deal with crimes, realized the significance of the national service, and learned about the theories of fire and fire extinguishment, as well as ways of dealing with all types of fire. This initiative was well received by male and female students.

Mr. James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, awarded the participating students and all of those who contributed to the success of the summer program, including lecturers and trainers, in the presence of academy’s faculty members and admin officers, as well as officers of Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and the Civil Defense Academy. The ceremony was also attended largely by the parents of students who took part in the event.

Mr. James Morse said: “We are delighted to host this program at the Academy with the cooperation of Abu Dhabi Police and the Civil Defense. This program went far beyond our expectations and the expectations of the participants. Rabdan Academy will support such programs that aim to build the capabilities of the leaders of future generations by introducing them to positive experiences and integrated positive actions. We also hope that students will remember this experience and the importance of safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness, and crisis management, and will choose Rabdan Academy to pursue their university study in future.”
