In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Rabdan Academy Organizes Training Courses for more than 40 Brotherly and Friendly Countries

In coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Rabdan Academy is offering a series of awareness training courses tailored for government and academic organizations in a number of brotherly and friendly countries. These sessions are qualitative supplement to the foreign aid provided by the UAE to many countries of the world.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Faisal Al-Ayyan, Vice President of Rabdan Academy, stated, “We are pleased to contribute to supporting diplomatic efforts and strengthening international relations between the UAE and brotherly and friendly countries in the academic fields of safety, security, emergency preparedness and crisis management, and we are ready to design training programs that meet the different needs of government institutions to develop national cadres to promote Safety and Security”.
Al Ayyan added, “The Academy seeks to build strategic and constructive relationships with all strategic partners, and we are proud of the distinguished relationship with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as one of its outcomes; Rabdan Academy holds training courses with more than 40 brotherly and friendly nations.”
The training courses focus on critical topics including: Business continuity management, media response in times of crisis, cybersecurity management, business continuity planning management in light of the COVID-19 outbreak and epidemic response, risk management, and emergency management during crises and disasters. These courses are designed for managers and officials from various government organizations in those nations. the Republic of Indonesia was the first participant in this series.
His Excellency Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister for International Development Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said: “The UAE has always been keen to build strong and high-level diplomatic relations with various brotherly and friendly nations on the basis of mutual cooperation, aspirations and common goals, which enhance cooperation principles in all areas.” HE emphasized that this effort underscores the sustainability and strength of diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and brotherly and friendly nations,
He added: The UAE has been adopting this diplomatic and humanitarian approach since the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul in peace”, as he has left humanitarian footprints around the world. He had always directed to build hospitals and schools and everything that strengthened health care; moreover, construct academic institutions. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the UAE has dispatched – with the directives of the wise leadership – various aircrafts loaded with tons of medical aid to support the first line of defense in all parts of the world.
His Excellency Husin Bagis, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the UAE, stressed the close cooperation between the UAE and Indonesia in various fields, especially the exchange of experiences, saying: “International and diplomatic relations have developed between the UAE and the Republic of Indonesia thanks to the wise leadership in the two friendly countries, which opens up prospects for cooperation in broader and deeper fields We commend the UAE as one of the safest countries in the world, and has a leading and courageous experience in strengthening the foundations and principles of peace amongst countries”.
His Excellency Bagis added, “These training courses are ideal with regards to timing and selection of topics, and I am confident that they are of great benefits to government officials and experts in Indonesia. We would like to express our profound gratefulness to the UAE for its continued cooperation, in all its forms, with the Republic of Indonesia, and to Rabdan Academy and its experts in designing and implementing these courses in an optimal manner, and we look forward to continued cooperation between us in the future. “
The, the first ambassador of Indonesia was appointed to the UAE in 1993, however the friendly relations between the two nations began more than 44 years ago. Beginning I 1976, UAE-Indonesia relations were further strengthened through the historic visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Indonesia in July of 2019. In January of this year, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education in the UAE and the Ministry of Education and Culture in Indonesia during the visit of His Excellency President Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia and his accompanying high-level delegation to the UAE.
As part of this agreement, the UAE launched a two-year educational program in Indonesia, which focusses on training school leaders within marginalized communities whose schools suffer from poor performance, and more than ten thousand students and 250 teachers have access to the program.
