Dr. Olivier is an Assistant Professor at Rabdan Academy. Previously, he was a Lecturer in the Defence Studies Department at King's College London, primarily teaching at the Defence Academy of the UK (Shrivenham); and a Research Fellow at the College of Europe, Natolin Campus (Warsaw).
Olivier tutored at the University of St Andrews and Lehigh University, and interned at the US Mission to NATO, Transparency International EU, the Jacques Delors Institute, and the IRIS think tank in Paris. For a while, he was also a scuba instructor (in three seas and one ocean).
Olivier holds a PhD in International Relations and an MLitt in International Political Theory from the University of St Andrews, a MSc in Social Research Methods from the University of Sussex, an MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe (Natolin campus), and a BA in International Relations, French and Journalism from Lehigh University. In 2015-2016, he was a Visiting Researcher at Georgetown University, and in 2005 he studied at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
