H.E. Salem Al Saeedi possesses over 22 years of pioneering strategic experience. His expertise spans vital sectors such as Education, Oil & Gas and Government Sectors. A keen practitioner of a leadership approach that guarantees stability and collective success, which is the result of many years of hands-on experience in the pursuit of academic merit and institutional excellence.
Presently, Al Saeedi serves as the Vice President of Rabdan Academy. In this role, he directs corporate strategies, facilitates the execution of the governance framework within the board's level, operationalizes board resolutions into implementation plans, oversees multiple specialized committees, and manages strategic communication with local and global partners. Additionally, he leads endeavours in shaping strategic directions for the enhancement and modernization of academic, professional, and research initiatives. Al Saeedi is also instrumental in fostering collaborative endeavours with regulatory bodies, key partners, and domestic as well as international universities. Furthermore, he spearheads innovative initiatives in digital transformation and the diversification of university funding.
Furthermore, Al Saeedi previously served as the Executive Director of Support Services at the Academy. In this capacity, he has demonstrated a successful history of enhancing administrative efficiency, optimizing human and financial resources, elevating productivity levels, and reinforcing governance oversight, strategic initiatives and institutional operations. Al Saeedi also held the role of Executive Director at the Rabdan Academy Satellite Campus within Zayed Military University. This distinctive strategic venture involved the establishment of an exceptional academic program titled "Bachelor of Science in Defence and Security."
Before joining Rabdan Academy, Al Saeedi served as the Executive Director of Support Services at the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). He also held roles as the Director of Financial Affairs and Director of Procurement within the same organization. Throughout his extensive career of over twenty years, Al Saeedi also held numerous specialized administrative and operational roles within various national entities in the country. Notable among these are the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO), among others.
Al Saeedi has a range of distinguished academic and professional credentials. He holds a Master's degree in Strategic and Security Studies from the National Defence College, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University. He has successfully completed various high-level leadership development programs from global universities such as Harvard University's Business School and the London Business School. Al Saeedi is duly certified as an accountant by the UAE Ministry of Justice and is recognized as an accredited auditor by the Ministry of Economy. Additionally, he holds the esteemed designation of a Certified Public Accountant.
