RSDI was launched in May 2024 during ISNR 2024 Conference. The RSDI offers analysis, research and recommendations to policymakers on defence and security matters pertaining to the Middle East. It aims to deepen comprehension of regional security dynamics, identify potential threats, opportunities and challenges.
RSDI is located in Rabdan Academy’s campus in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Our working hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am - 12:30 pm on Friday.
There are four main research areas in RSDI namely, Security Assessment, Defence, Emergency Preparation, and Crisis Management. Within these four areas, there are 17 sub-specialty RSDI is aiming to champion.
