Position Title:Assistant Professor- Policing and Security Science, Policing and Security Program

Key Objectives:The Assistant Professor is responsible for contributing to academic teaching / administration as per the norms set by the Academy. They will assist the Associate and Full Professors in the delivery of Policing and Security courses.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Teach at undergraduate and graduate level in areas allocated by the Head of Department
  •  Assist in the design and delivery of the curriculum for Policing and Security
  • Transfer knowledge including practical skills, methods and techniques to colleagues relating to Policing and Security
  • Supervise student projects, field trips and, where appropriate, placements
  • Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in student support on academic, career and personal development matters
  • Coordinate the work of colleagues to identify and respond to student’s needs
  • Ensure adherence to, and effective operation of quality assurance and enhancement policies and process
  • Assist other professors for the delivery of knowledge by creating appropriate presentations and teaching materials for the Policing and Security Program
  • Adhere to the Academy’s information security policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Professors, Program Chair and top management
