Dr. Syed Adnan Bukhari

Assistant Professor, Homeland Security Program

Syed Adnan Ali Shah Bukhari is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Homeland Security Program. Prior to this, he taught at the Shaheed Zufliqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST), Islamabad. Bukhari started his academic career as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad. Later, he worked as an Associate Research Fellow at the International Centre for Political Violence & Terrorism Research Centre ICPVTR), S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), NTU, Singapore. He also worked as a Senior Fellow & Director Program at the FATA Research Centre (Islamabad). He served as a Consultant with the UNDP, DFID, GIZ and German Federal Foreign Office respectively on the post-conflict reconstruction of Pakistan’s western border tribal areas. He has also been a Visiting Fellow at the Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
