Dr. Osama Ahmed Khashan

Associate Researcher/ Associate Professor

Dr. Osama Khashan is an Associate Professor and Associate Researcher at Rabdan Academy, recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally in 2024 by Stanford University and Elsevier. He holds a PhD in Cybersecurity and has nearly two decades of experience in academia and research. Dr. Khashan specializes in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, and cloud computing, ato research, innovation, and real-world applications in these fields.

Dr. Khashan has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and conferences and has actively contributed to numerous scientific projects. His work has received international recognition, and he has authored two books on key topics within his areas of expertise. He holds five patents in cybersecurity and AI solutions and applies his expertise to developing secure, AI-driven solutions that address emerging challenges in these evolving fields.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khashan has taught a diverse range of courses in Computer Science and Cybersecurity at renowned universities in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Malaysia, and the UAE. He has played a key role in the development of academic curricula and designed innovative teaching methods, significantly enhancing the educational experience while aligning programs with professional demands.

Dr. Khashan is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the IEEE UAE Blockchain Group. He holds several professional certifications in his areas of expertise and is actively involved in advancing cybersecurity standards. Dr. Khashan has reviewed numerous articles for prestigious journals and serves on the editorial boards of several journals and conferences. He has also supervised a substantial number of undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them in their academic and professional journeys in cybersecurity.
