Students seeking admission to a graduate degree programs must satisfy the Rabdan Academy general admission requirements, meet minimum English language requirements, and satisfy all other program-specific requirements that are stipulated for entry into the program.

Graduate admissions process at Rabdan requires applicants to meet the following:

  1. Pass the interview successfully
  2. Proof of English Language Proficiency
  3. Obtain required a bachelor’s degree score

The minimum admission requirements/entry conditions must apply to all applicants or students equally, as follows:

  1. Official transcripts of all earned undergraduate credits
  2. A recognized Bachelor’s degree earned in a discipline appropriate for the prospective graduate degree
  3. A minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent
  4. For graduate programs taught in English:

4.a) a minimum score of 1400 on the English language portion of the EmSAT examination;

4.b) or its equivalent a score of 6.0 on the internationally-recognized test IELTS academic

Exceptions

  1. A native speaker of English who has completed his/her undergraduate education in an English-medium institution may not be required to provide certification of English language proficiency for programs taught in English
  1. Rabdan Academy should have clear guidelines for conditional admission, separately approved by the CAA, including time limits and the requirements for moving from conditional to full admission
  2. Applicants or students with a recognized Bachelor’s degree must meet the following requirements during the period of conditional admission or be subject to dismissal:

2.1 Applicants or Students with an EmSAT score of 1250 or its equivalent a score of 5.5 IELTS academic :

a) must achieve an EmSAT score of 1400 or its equivalent a score of 6.0 IELTS academic, by the end of the student’s first semester of study;

b) may take a maximum of six credit hours in the first semester of study, not including intensive English courses;

c) must achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent, in the first six credit hours of credit-bearing courses studied for the graduate program

2.2 Applicants or students with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent must:

a) take a maximum of nine credit hours of courses studied for the graduate program

b) achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its established equivalent, in these nine credits of courses studied for the graduate program

2.3 Applicants or students with a a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent must:

a) take a maximum of nine graduate-level credit hours as remedial preparation for the graduate program. These remedial courses are not for credit within the degree program

b) achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its established equivalent, in these nine credits of remedial courses in order to progress to the graduate program or be subject to dismissal

All applicants must complete the Electronic application form. Applications will be considered if all the below documents are included:

  1. A completed application form.
  2. Identity documents.
  3. One certified copy of official transcript from the university attended.
  4. An official copy of the applicant’s IELTS certificate or equivalent;
  5. Recommendation letters as required by the individual programs
