
Dr. Ruxandra Oana Vlad
Assistant Professor, Homeland Security Program
Dr. Ruxandra Oana Vlad is an Assistant Professor of Homeland Security, specializing in counterterrorism stratagems, covert intelligence acquisition practices, and defence intelligence.
She has previously lectured at the University of Warwick, University of Carleton, and the University of Waterloo, on topics ranging from international law to emerging defence technologies. At Rabdan Academy, she has taught several courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including UAE Homeland Security, Intelligence Analytical Methods, and Intelligence Management and Communications.
As a result of her work in both intelligence and academia, she has gained considerable experience publishing, advising, collaborating and consulting with international scholars, intelligence agencies, and think tanks on matters of counterterrorism, international law, cyber terror networks, technologically innovative weapons systems, and international security more broadly.
